A SCHOOL OF “small’’ fish conquering the “BIG” POND.

 Martin Luther King once said the following “if a man hasn’t discovered something that he will die for, he isn’t fit to live”. This is a very powerful quote which should be manifested into young lives of today in Africa. However the question to ponder is do we have such in Africa? Well yes, a stunning Company has set a foot out there to be heard by many schools around Pretoria and soon on their expectation board to conquer Gauteng then the entire South Africa. With several consecutive high schools having been bull’s-eyed with motivation by Smart Vision Enterprise (SMV), the jackpot was again triumphed this month from a school in Pretoria East named after Mr William Beverly Clapham a prominent citizen of Pretoria well known as Clapham high school.

With the matriculants so ambitious to achieve a 100% pass rate but only having reached a 96% pass rate the 1^st term, it was a broken car wind screen which for this incident needed a professional glazier which were to be SMV. To open the seminar was a young auspicious entrepreneur Jappie Nkuna who without any waste of time highlighted innovative facts that grabbed the attention of school learners and kept the hunger for knowledge of the learners even more mesmerized. With Mr.Nkuna, having to shock the learners with his age it was also an inspiration circuitously that an educated young mind can change the world without any restrictions to cage its abilities. Mr Nkuna said the following “diligence predominates my impetus and is blissful”. The quote was the ice breaker of the Antarctic young minds of these learners and therefor caged the attention of students with no visible lock.

The entering of another promising fledgling speaker in the ranks, Tshepo Msuthu also refilled the thoughts and brain capacities of the learners of Clapham high. The speaker was to touch on the mind, something we use on a daily basis but haven’t fully grasped its full capacity. It was a very interesting subject that needed more gasoline to rejuvenate the fire and grab the attention of learners. Mr Msuthu also went to utter the following “we can watch programmes, read big old dusty novels and listen to music but if we don’t pay attention to the whole concept of the activity we will retain what is called 10% retention, and that becomes unfair to your mind and heart but most importantly your future”. He also went on to describe his character as an inverted paranoia elaborating that it means, someone who thinks that the world is conspired to do good for him. However his motivational message was expressed in many dynamic ways which could relate to the everyday life changes of the learners with different backgrounds.

With the seminar close to a termination, the next speaker was introduced Sbusiso Molimi a young author and director of Bureau African businesses. His introduction was vital and most importantly professional. With no form of hesitation Mr Molimi brought forward experience and alleviated the barriers among the learners that if ever they were to retain a 100% pass rate it would require prolific team work. Mr Molimi went on to set the word time into an acronym T.I.M.E (team work, investment, mind-set change and extra).The whole elaboration behind the time concept was very intriguing however he also took a further step by using the usage of bank slogans (Absa, Fnb and Standard bank) to show the learners those are the required friends they needed to be associated with. He created scenarios to give proper image of how life could be directed in a proper manner. However the moral of the motivation was as follows, are your friends you beginning the race with, the ones to end the race with you?
